Lalum’utul Smun’eem Child and Family Services are hoping to raise enough food for 100 hampers for on-reserve families in need this holiday season.
Manager Tricia Thorne says on-reserve families are not eligible for many of the holiday programs offered in the community, and there are often more than one family living in one house. As a way to help these families, a food drive is being held this weekend.
Donations can be dropped off on Saturday at their location on Allenby Road from 10-3.
