Island Health is trying to raise awareness of care and support programs that are available for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Regional Director for Trauma Care Anna Hall says the Forensic Nurse Program involved having specially trained registerd nurses available at emergency departments across the island.
Hall says the number one concern is safety and ensuring anyone experiencing violence can access services and help.
