Icy Roads Plague Cowichan Valley

Icy conditions continue on Cowichan Valley roads.

There have been multiple reports of slippery and icy conditions in Downtown Duncan, and the Somenos area. Listeners also say Cowichan Bay Road is extremely icy and slippery, even at slow speeds. Black ice was reported around the south end cut off at Shawnigan, coming from the Malahat.

Drive BC reporting slippery sections from Ladysmith to Nanaimo and slushy sections on the Malahat.

RCMP recommend slowing your speed, increasing following distance, and giving yourself extra time to get to your destination.
