Rats and roaches plague Duncan apartment

An order by Island Health was issued after a Duncan apartment building was found to have rat and roach infestations, as well as excessive mold and structural problems.

Dr. Paul Hasselback with Island Health says if other renters are facing issues similar to these, they must go through the landlord tenancy act.

The order on Parkland Place at 620 Dobson Road states that any unoccupied apartments cannot be rented, including ones that become vacant until the issues have been resolved.
