Meetings to make the Malahat safer continue

Malahat Fire Chief Rob Patterson says he’s feeling encouraged after the public meeting with the Ministry of Transportation last week on the next phase of Malahat improvements.

Patterson says the plan to remove key left-hand turns at Aspen Road and Malahat Village is a bad idea.

Patterson says the meeting at Shawnigan Lake Community Hall was the first of its kind, where stakeholders were able to share their concerns with the Ministry since the improvements began.
