O’Brien says, back at home, it’s a good idea not to put gifts under the tree and if you do, keep your curtains or blinds closed so criminals can’t see them.
He says when gifts are unwrapped, dispose of the boxes in the recycling as soon as possible so thieves can’t see the kinds of new items you have in the house.
