Lake Cowichan First Nation says a new energy plan will look at the community’s energy efficiency and potential for new hydro and solar options.
They received 30 thousand dollars from the province in support of the project. Operations Manager Aaron Hamilton says this plan is important for the future of the community.
Hamilton says the plan will also offer spinoff opportunities for infrastructure upgrades, creating jobs and supporting community services.
