Weather warnings on Boxing Day

For East Vancouver Island there is a wind warning in effect.

 

According to Environment Canada an approaching Pacific frontal system will bring strong winds to coastal sections of Vancouver Island this afternoon and into the evening.

 

The wind, from the southeast, could is expected to be in the 60 to 80 kilometer per hour range.

There is a snowfall warning in effect for the Sunshine Coast.

 

10 to 20 centimeters of snow is expected to fall.
