The Member of Parliament for North Island – Powell River says housing will be one of her focuses as the house resumes sitting in two weeks time.
Rachel Blaney tabled a bill last year, calling for housing to be considered a right.
She says the issue has come to the fore this winter, with the cold weather posing challenges for the homeless.
The bill is expected to come before the house this year.
