It’s official, Rutherford Elementary School will be closing.
Superintendent John Blain says the decision was made to close Rutherford after the Nanaimo Ladysmith School District got the green light from the province to spend one point 3 million dollars on an expansion at Frank J. New Elementary School….
The expansion of Frank Ney will double the population at the facility to 400 students.
