Three CVRD Area Directors in Provincial Race

With the provincial election approaching in May, candidates will be thrown into heavy campaigning as soon as the writ drops.
Three area directors at the Cowichan Valley Regional District are on the ballot. Board Chair Jon Lefebure says if one of these candidates are successful in the provincial race, and resigns from their seat on the board, that person will have to be replaced.
CVRD Area Directors have the option of sending an alternate to take their place at up to three board meetings, if needed.
Shawnigan Lake Director Sonia Furstenau is running for the Green Party, Cowichan Bay Director Lori Iannidinardo will represent the NDP on the ballot, and Cowichan Lake South/Skutz Falls Director Ian Morrison is running as an Independent.
Also in the race is Steve Housser for the Liberals and Libertarian James Anderson.
