Base of $1200 per month is what’s needed

Those living on a disability will be getting a 50 dollar a month increase in benefits.
The executive director with the Nanaimo Association for Community Living, Graham Morry, says it’s not enough….
Last year, during the provincial budget, the government tied an increase in rates to transportation.
The increase announced this time around will increase benefits from 983 dollars a month to 1,033 dollars.
