SD 79 meets with parents

Increasing fixed costs and ongoing enrollment declines are having an impact on the bottom line in the Cowichan Valley School District budget.

However, Official Trustee, Mike McKay says the budget challenges are not as dramatic as they have been….

District representatives will be at a public meeting at the Cowichan Secondary Quamichan Campus tonight (Mon) at 7 and tomorrow (Tues) they’ll be at the Chemainus Secondary School.

Besides the budget they’ll also update parents where they are at with the disposition of school properties following the closures of some facilities.
