Environment Canada has issued a special statement for the Sunshine Coast and East Vancouver Island.
A cold and unsettled airmass is expected to arrive over the South Coast later Friday and will stay put for the weekend.
Snowfall could begin as early as Friday night and the potential for snow will increase for tomorrow and Sunday.
