Vancouver Island University is hosting a symposium to promote the growth of the sustainable Aboriginal tourism industry on Vancouver Island.
Professor of Recreation and Tourism Management Rob Ferguson there’s a growing demand for knowledge on how to grow and develop the industry.
He says one way to do so is by working closely with small communities here on the Island.
The symposium goes at V-I-U in Nanaimo next month.
