BC Hydro reported a reduction of point 2 per cent of the provincial electricity load during Earth Hour in 2015.
That’s equivalent to turning off about 680,000 LED light bulbs.
Earth Hour is Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 and it’s a chance to reduce your consumption of energy by turning off lights, TVs and household appliances.
Around 180 countries are expected to participate.
