Starting April 1, you will be paying more to BC Hydro.
Rates will be going up by 3 and a half per cent.
This hike will be followed by another, three per cent hike in 2018.
The utility says it needs to increase the rates so it can invest in B.C.’s aging electricity system and meet the increasing demand for power.
