The CVRD has approved an overall budget increase of 7 hundred 8 thousand dollars.
Mark Kueber, General Manager of the Corporate Services Department says that represents an overall increase of 2 point 36 per cent.
That compares to the previous 4 years when the budget increased an average of more than 8 per cent.
Kueber says there were 4 main reasons for the increase….
Kueber says the total dollar impact for the average household will vary depending on where you live from 46 dollars in Ladysmith to a decrease in taxes in Electoral Area D of just about 6 dollars.
