5 homeowners in North Cowichan will be chosen to participate in a Climate Household Challenge.
The Municipality, along with Transition Cowichan, will provide support to the homeowners to help them reduce energy consumption.
Participating homeowners will get a base assessment to establish their energy consumption and an energy audit of their home to identify ways to improve the efficiency among other things.
Over the period of 5 weeks, beginning in the 3rd week of September the home audit will be “on” with the winner getting a 6 month supply of food from a local Community Supported Agriculture program.
