Fire in Ladysmith sends one man to hospital

One man was injured in a Ladysmith apartment building fire Sunday.
The fire department was called to the downtown building around 2 o’clock after a couch caught fire.
The trio of men in the suite managed to toss the couch out of the suite and down the stairs before the fire department arrived.
One man suffered smoke inhalation and injuries to his hands.
The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
