Maple Bay Boat Thief Could Face More Than 40 Charges

The 25 year old Duncan man apprehended in Maple Bay remains in police custody, as he awaits final say on no less than 43 recommended charges.
These charges are in relation to theft of property including vehicles and boats, as well as break-ins to homes and vehicles.
North Cowichan Duncan RCMP have been working to identify all investigations they believe this man is responsible for before he sees a judge on Tuesday June 20th.
If you have any information on recent thefts or crime, report it to the RCMP or call Crime Stoppers.
This stems from an incident last Thursday where RCMP were alerted by a Genoa Bay resident that her landlord’s boat was being taken by an unknown person.
