Healthcare workers vote 96 per cent in favour of job action

47-thousand healthcare workers have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a strike.

They include care aides, emergency dispatchers, pharmacy techs, cleaning, dietary and maintenance staff.

In the Cowichan they work at the Cowichan District Hospital, Chemainus Health Care Centre and Cairnsmore Extended care among others.
