54 year old "wanted" man hitchhiking around the Island

Port Alberni RCMP say a wanted man may be hitchhiking around the mid-Island.

54 year old Brian Timothy Race is wanted on 4 charges of breaching a court order that includes not being within 100 meters of any public park or area where children under 16 could be, and a prohibition from using the internet.

RCMP claim he has been in contact with several people under 16 in the Port Alberni area.

They also say they think he has been on the road, mainly on the routes between Port Alberni and Courtenay, staying in hostels.
