Woman found dead in Coombs

RCMP are investigating the death of a woman in the 2400 block of the Alberni Highway near the vacant Frontiersman Bar and Grill.
This is the area in Coombs where police responded to reports of a “man down” on Sunday night around 10.
On arrival, emergency responders located a 55 year old deceased woman.

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death as well as determining her next of kin.

There is no reason to believe the public is at risk.

There is no further information to be provided at this time.
