Telus to improve internet service in Duncan

Telecommunications giant Telus will spend 1.5-million to upgrade the internet service in Duncan.

This year, Telus will upgrade services in Duncan by installing new wireless sites to introduce LTE, bringing faster Internet speeds to residents and businesses; updating older infrastructure and technology and increasing access to innovative healthcare IT solutions.

Liz Sauve is a spokesperson for Telus.

Part of the investment includes upgrades to 4G LTE or long term evolution. Sauve says LTE is the world’s fastest wireless technology, offering Internet downloads and uploads two to three times faster than previous speeds.
