Cowichan Valley Cook Book Needs Recipes

The Cowichan Valley Co-operative Marketplace is launching a brand new cook book, and want your favourite local recipes.
The online farmers’ market is working on this new project that will feature Valley recipes, with a distinct emphasis on local, seasonal ingredients.
Recipes are being gathered from local seniors, or anyone with a connection to Cowichan’s deep agricultural history.
The project is being funded in part by the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program.
For more information on how to share a recipe with the Cowichan Valley Cooperative Marketplace, email Heather at [email protected]. Interested individual seniors from the Cowichan Valley are also encouraged to get in touch. Other opportunities to get involved in the making of the cookbook exist including helping with editing and proofing, photography, and outreach.
The cookbook is expected to be printed by the end of this year.
