RCMP Seize Drugs and Weapons at Duncan Property

North Cowichan Duncan RCMP executed a search warrant, resulting in a sizeable seizure of illegal drugs, paraphernalia and weapons.

Two Duncan men have been taken into custody.

A substance believed to be Fentanyl was among the items seized from a property on Rockridge Road in Duncan on Saturday. Police also seized what appeared to be instruments used for the purpose of trafficking.

Staff Sergeant Kurt Bosnell says this represents a significant seizure of illicit drugs from our community. He says “With the presence of Fentanyl, the North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP treated this as high risk and immediately sought the assistance of the RCMP’s Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response Team to assist with the seizure.”

The investigation is ongoing, and RCMP say more details will be released in the coming week, as the investigation unfolds.

The public is not believed to be at risk.
