CVRD Sends Administrative Assistance To Caribou Regional District

Two members of the CVRD administration are in Caribou Regional District to help the community deal with the major wildfires.
Public Safety Manager Conrad Cowan says CAO Brian Carruthers and Procurement Officer Anthony Jeffery have been in the Interior since Monday. Both have experience with staff and resources at the Caribou Regional District.
He says it’s all been at the request of the province.
Cowan says locally, we need to be aware of the high wildfire risk on Vancouver Island well. He encourages the public to visit the Public Safety section of the CVRD website for more information on what would happen in an emergency in our region.
