BC Wildfires Services say there are currently 152 active wildfires burning in the province.
That brings the total up to 688 wildfires since April 1, burning over 405 thousand hectares and costing the province about $111.9-million dollars.
Chief Fire Information Officer Kevin Skrepnek says it is raining in some parts of the province, which is temporarily relief before hot and dry conditions return tomorrow (fri). They are also keeping a close eye on possible thunderstorms.
Skrepnek says BC Wildfire Service has about 3600 staff working to control the fires at this time.
