Missing Hiker Found Dead Near Shawnigan Lake

A 22 year old hiker has been found dead near Koksilah River Provincial Park on Thursday morning.
Constable Ian Wetzel-Eden with the Shawnigan Lake RCMP says they got a call for a missing person around 8:30pm on Wednesday night.
Reports say the search ended around late last night and restarted this morning. The man’s body was found around 11am this morning.
Westzel-Eden says RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating cause of death, but it does not appear to be wildlife related at this time.
