Important minor hockey meeting tonight

It has not been the best calendar year for the Cowichan Valley Minor Hockey Association. Problems with the board and president caused tension throughout the ranks as CVMHA seemed to be divided into two camps.

But, hopefully that ship will be righted at tonight’s Annual General Meeting.

Jim Humphry is the president of the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association. He says from what he is hearing the meeting at the Island Savings Centre will be well attended.

In January, V-I-A-H-A suspended the entire CVMHA executive for what they felt was “conduct that could discredit the association;” Eventually reinstating them following an investigation.

Tonight’s meeting will be held at the Island Savings Centre. Registration at 6:00; meeting at 7:00
