Literacy Now sponsors 3rd Annual Trivia Challenge

The Literacy Now Cowichan Society says 22,000 people in the Valley struggle with some daily living tasks like reading a menu, calculating a tip, orĀ filling out a government form.
The Society’s Kathleen Erickson says, since they started a program to help people with reading, writing, math and computer skills in 2012, about 1,000Ā adults are finding it easier to get a job or just participate in their community……
In an effort to raise money for the programming, Erickson says the Society will be hosting the 3rd annual Trivia Challenge September 24th.
Erickson says the event, which raises money for literacy programs in the Valley, involves teams of between two and 8 people wrestling with skill testing questions to get their name on the Team Trivia trophy…..

It costs 45 dollars per person and includes snacks.
