Some North Cowichan residents are looking to burn yard waste and may be jumping the gun.
This fall, the burning window is October 15th to November 15th, as it has been in the past.
Mayor Jon Lefebure says the new burning bylaws, recently adopted by the Municipality that will see the burning window extended are not yet in effect….
In any event, open burns are not supposed to take place when the venting index is not good either.
