Children’s dishes recalled

Health Canada is recalling some children’s plates, bowls, cups and cutlery.
The white plastic Playtex dishes were sold between January 2010 and August of 2017 in Canada.

The watchdog says the clear plastic layer over the graphics can peel or bubble from the surface of the plates or bowls and that poses a potential choking hazard to young children.

As of last month, the company has received four reports of choking in Canada, but no reports of serious injuries.

Approximately 1 point 9 million units of the affected products were sold in Canada.
Consumers should stop using the affected products and return them to the distributor for a refund.

Consumers should immediately stop using the affected products and return the products to Edgewell for a full refund.

For more information, consumers can contact the company by telephone toll-free at 1-888-220-2075 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST Mondays to Fridays. Consumers may also visit Playtex’s website for instructions.
