This weekend is the last one where two lanes of traffic will be able to get through the construction zone on the Malahat.
Now that the summer peak travel period is over and traffic volumes are lower, Janelle Irwin, spokesperson for the Ministry of Highways and Transportation says they will be reducing the highway to one lane in each direction on the Malahat on weekends again….
The change will take place between Aspen Road and Shawnigan Lake Road on Tuesday.
She says drivers should expect delays of up to 20 minutes and plan accordingly.
