Cowichan Intercultural Society aims high

The Cowichan Intercultural Society has set its sights on a new home.
The location of the new “Welcome House” is still a secret but Development Coordinator, Brian Siff says they’ve been looking for a new location for 2 years now….
Siff says the Society is trying to raise half a million dollars for the new facilty which is big enough to house all their programming which includes settlement services, youth outreach and child care.
To try to boost that campaign the Society has applied to win 100,000 dollars from the Aviva organization but needs to show support from the community through a voting system.
You can vote from now until October 19th.
The initiative is the only one from the Cowichan Valley in this round.
To learn more about the project, and to place your
vote, visit the project page (https://www.avivacommunityfund.org/voting/project/view/17-189).
