Seeking patient volunteers

Island Health’s Quality Councils are seeking people who have recently been patients in the health care system and are interested in sharing their insights and information about their experience.
Quality Councils operate throughout B.C. and The Patients Voices Network, Engagement Leader, Leah Smith says former patients can provide valuable perspectives on a number of issues…..
Smith says there are “one-time” initiatives for patient participation but there’s also a call for former patients to participate in Quality Councils right across B.C.

Those Councils meet regularly to approve new standards of care, review adverse patient events, identify improvements and to celebrate successes.

To volunteer, or get more information go to:  www.patientvoicesbc.ca or contact Leah Smith, Engagement Leader at 778.678.3977 or Email to
