The bodies of two adults and a 7 year old girl were removed from a home in Nanaimo Tuesday afternoon following a house fire.
Nanaimo Fire crews were called to the home in the 700 block of Nicol Street shortly after noon when a bystander called 911.
It was while fire crews were fighting the fire that the bodies of the trio were found.
The Nanaimo Detachment’s Serious Crimes Unit, the B.C. Coroner Service and the fire department are investigating the incident.
Corporal Jon Stuart says the family of the deceased has been contacted as has the Nanaimo Ladysmith School District as the young girl was attending a local school
No names have been released.
