Slight increase in gas tax allocations

Over the next 5 years the Cowichan Valley Regional District will get about 7 point 7 million dollars from the gas tax fund.
Jay Ellis, Senior Policy Planner says that’s about one hundred thousand dollars more than the previous 5 year agreement.
Ellis says for 2014-2015 the District will get one point 4-84 million dollars but it hasn’t been determined yet how the money will be spent…..
The City of Duncan will get close to 2 hundred and 50 thousand dollars in 2014-2015 in gas tax allocations.
North Cowichan will get one point 2 million dollars, Lake Cowichan gets about one hundred 69 thousand dollars and Ladysmith is in line for 3 hundred 68 thousand.
