Search for missing woman continues

The search for a missing 73 year old Nanaimo woman is ongoing.
73 year old Bertha Hanson, who goes by the name of Faye, left her home around noon Sunday and her vehicle was found near the intersection of Timberlands and Ninatti Road on the west side of the TransCanada Highway about halfway between Nanaimo and Ladysmith.
RCMP Constable Gary O’Brien says there are around 40 personnel looking for Hanson.
O’Brien says there are some complicating factors in the search….
O’Brien says civilians are not required to help in the search because SAR coordinators are concerned they too might become lost in the dense bush making the search expand to more than one missing person.
