The Town of Ladysmith is hoping to take advantage of Transport Canada’s Abandoned Boats Program.
Mayor Aaron Stone says they’ve applied for funding to remove nine of the 40 or so derelict boats in the harbour…..
In conjunction with the funding proposal, the Town has issued a public notice of the plan to take possession and remove the 9 vessels unless the owners move the boats from their current locations to an authorized area.
