A Chemainus man’s civil suit against a former Cowichan Valley RCMP officer begins today (Mon) in Victoria.
Bill Gillespie was shot in September 2009 after he was pulled over by RCMP officer David Pompeo.
Gillespie says despite all the court proceedings since and now this civil suit, he doesn’t think he will ever have closure…..
Pompeo was sentenced to two years probation late last year and 2 hundred and 40 hours of community service.
An appeal of the sentence has been launched but no date for it has been set yet.
