Town Hall Meeting Places Cowichan District Hospital Replacement in Spotlight

The Cowichan District Hospital is a relic and work is underway to replace the 50-year-old facility.
Adrian Dix, the Minister of Health calls the Cowichan District Hospital replacement Island Health’s top priority when it comes to hospital replacements in B.C.
Cowichan Valley Green Party M.L.A., Sonia Furstenau says the legwork from a planning perspective is well underway.
Furstenau says many residents have questions about the replacement process and this meeting will address those questions.

The project to replace the Cowichan District Hospital isn’t included in the 2018 provincial budget.
The meeting goes Thursday, November 16 at the Duncan Community Lodge, starting at 7 p.m.
