The municipality of North Cowichan says residents rated water as their number one spending priority when it came to budget feedback.
That is, keeping it safe and clean.
Other priority spending areas included infrastructure maintenance, public safety, building active transportation networks for cycling and walking, and affordable housing.
Residents can continue to provide input on the budget, as meetings will continue on into the New Year.
Next up is the Public Works Committee meeting on November 14th where committee members will review the Roads and Sidewalk capital program.
