RCMP in the Cowichan Valley will continue to use bikes this summer in an effort to increase community engagement.
Cpl. John Stuart with the North Cowichan/Duncan detachment says police are thinking of new ways to make the valley a safe place.
Stuart says using bikes is helpful because it allows cops an ability to patrol back allies, paths and trails that might not otherwise be accessible by a vehicle.
