Elliot sentencing hearing underway in Duncan

A couple of high profile court cases taking places in Duncan.
The sentencing hearing to decide weather or not William Elliot is eligible for parole is underway and could last until Friday.
The Crown is asking for the maximum 25 years before Elliot can be paroled.
Elliot has pled guilty to second degree murder in the deaths of Karrie Ann Stone and Tyeshia Jones.
And…court proceedings against Duncan local Brandon Harrison, who is being accused of beating a dog and then threatening witnesses, have been adjourned until June 17.
