Court dockets busy with high profile cases

The man accused in the shooting at Nanaimo’s Western Forest Products mill appeared in court briefly via video link yesterday before his case was adjourned again.

47 year old Kevin Addison is facing 2 counts of first degree murder and 2 of attempted murder related to the April 30th incident.

Defense is waiting on information from the Crown.

Victim Mike Lunn’s wife, Marlene was in the courtroom……

Addison will be appearing in court again via video link on July 8th.

Meanwhile in Duncan, the sentencing hearing to decide weather or not William Elliot is eligible for parole is continues today. Elliot pled guilty to the deaths of two Cowichan Valley women.

Court proceedings against Campbell Crichton will resume Monday.  The former Duncan Physiotherapist, is facing 23 counts of sexual assault.
And, court proceedings against Brandon Harrison, who is accused of beating a dog and then threatening witnesses, have been adjourned until June 17.
