CUPE and Duncan City settle on a deal

Cupe members with the City of Duncan saw their contract expire December 31st of 2013.
The City and union have now ratified a new agreement.
The City’s Director of Finance, Talitha Soldera says the agreement offers employees 4 per cent in the first two years, in 4 intervals….
The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local represents about 20 full time members and several casual, regular part time, temporary and student workers at the City of Duncan.
The members provide a wide variety of municipal services, including snow removal, road maintenance, parks and recreation, sewer and water, garbage collection, building inspection, engineering and administration.
