A public hearing will be held tonight (Thurs) at the Sahtlam Fire Hall.
It’s to deal with the trap and skeet club near the community.
CVRD District Director Loren Duncan says the club has been operating on a 70 acre parcel of land for decades and has never really been appropriately zoned and marked on a map and the District is aiming to correct that…..
One of the proposed amendments in the new bylaw is to limit the times when the skeet shooting can take place to Tuesday evenings and not more than two weekends in a month.
The move, Duncan says would provide certainty for both the club and the people who live near it.
