Nanaimo RCMP are still on the hunt for a man who tried to kidnap a 17 year-old girl early yesterday morning.
It happened around 1:30am on Wilkinson Road near the Cedar bridge south of Nanaimo.
Constable Gary O’Brien says the girl told police she’d stopped to help some kittens that were on the road when a car pulled up behind her and a man got out and attacked her.
O’Brien says they’re looking for a white man between 20-25 years old with short hair. He was wearing baggy jeans, a white or grey t-shirt and a flat brim dark ball cap.
The car was an older model white, Honda Civic or possibly a Toyota with a dark pin stripe and a small spoiler. It also had a loud exhaust and blue accent lighting.
